Hole 1 at Blantyre Sports Club

Hole number 1, 170 meters a busy road to the right (with the possibility to hit a passing car) and bunkers to the right and left, very nice way to start (if going for the back 9 is the same green but at 200 m). My choice for the moment and has a High handicapper is my hybrid 3, its working out fine, ... most of the times ;)

18 greens

The only golf course in Malawi with 18 different greens, is the Lilongwe Golf Club. They equally have a very nice driving range.

Golf in Limbe

The Golf Course at Limbe Sports Club, is very well mantained, with 9 interesting greens, and 18 teeing areas. The main challenge being the distance to some of the holes.

Thyolo Sports Club

Set within rural Malawi, this picturesque Golf course is worth the visit, the magic setting that surrounds it compensating the rough conditions of the fairways. The sand made “greens” are actually fun to play in.

Mulanje Golf Cub

Amazing setup where the green of the fairway continues uninterrupted throughout the tee plantations overlooked by the mighty Mouth Mulanje.

Blantyre Sports Club

A beautifully set golf course, at the heart of Blantyre, where the rough is really rough, the fairways are not all that fair and the greens are tiny little dots. The stream that crosses the golf course, protected by imposing trees, seem to be always at that distance where a beginner would put an acceptable ball or a better player would have a weeker shot. Going up and down hill is a constant. However many places in the course are incredibly beautiful as the par 3 at hole 5 and I can not deny that I am constantly thinking of my next 9 or 18 holes (back 9 has 2 different holes).
